Six years ago, the Danaher Tax Team began an annual tradition of collecting donations for Harvest for Hunger (H4H) – one of the largest annual, community-wide food and funds drives via the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
The team had raised $500.
This year, the team raised $13,620 in support of the Cleveland Food Bank and the H4H campaign! Associates raised $6,120 on their own, exceeding their goal and maxing out the matching gift from the Danaher Foundation. This donation is the equivalent to almost 54,500 meals for the greater Cleveland community! (That's 20,000 more meals than they contributed last year)!
"Over the last 6 years, our team has raised $18,232 for the Cleveland Foodbank," says Layla Kirallah, Manager, International Tax. "With Danaher's support, we've contributed a total of $40,707 – that's the equivalent to 162,828 meals for the Cleveland community!"
Because of their commitment to the Cleveland Foodbank, the Danaher Tax Team has been nominated for 2 awards: The Bag of Hope Award and The Edmond V. Worley Award.
H4H provides critical resources to local hunger relief organizations in 21 counties in Northeast and North Central Ohio. Last year, businesses, supermarkets, schools and individuals across the region came together and contributed enough resources to provide more than 20 million nutritious meals.
