One Danaher in Korea

For the very first time, Danaher associates from several Korea OpCo's came together in September to participate in the Danaher Korea Sports Day event for team building and employer branding. The event was preceded by two cross-OpCo Growth Kaizens to support Danaher growth in Korea. 

The Danaher Korea Sports Day was created to spread awareness of all the Danaher OpCos in Korea, and to enhance associate engagement and commitment. Associates had fun in participating in friendly competition through team sports and games. In addition, all OpCo's showcased their latest products and services by setting up display booths. It was a great opportunity for associates to learn how each of Danaher's OpCo's in Korea are Helping to Realize Life's Potential in their businesses. 

To accelerate growth in Korea, a funnel management Kaizen was held for OpCo's in the Diagnostics platform and a market visibility Kaizen was held for OpCo's in the Life Science platform. These platform-specific Growth Kaizens not only taught the core growth drivers under the DBS, it also brought the associates who serve similar customer bases together in order to stimulate platform synergies.  All Danaher Korea general managers were present for the final Kaizen report outs and agreed to implement these growth modules promptly.   

The Kaizen report outs and Danaher Korea Sports Day were supported and attended by Jason Peng, President Danaher North Asia as well as the functional leaders of Danaher North Asia.  Both the growth Kaizens and team building activities promoted a "One-Danaher" spirit in Korea and general manager's agreed to hold periodic events to enhance cross-OpCo sharing and synergy going forward.    

Danaher Korea currently comprises 13 OpCo's with 350 associates generating approximately $300M US in revenue. The 13 Danaher OpCo's in Korea are as follows: Pall, Beckman Coulter DX, Beckman Coulter LS, Leica Biosystems, Devicor Medical, Radiometer, Leica Microsystems, Esko/X-rite, Videojet, Hach, SCIEX,  KaVo&Kerr and Molecular Devices.
