Biography
On October 1, 2026, Julie Sawyer Montgomery became President and Chief Executive Officer of Danaher and a member of the company's Board of Directors. Throughout her career, Julie has championed innovation and commercial excellence to drive growth. She is recognized for combining strategic leadership with operational rigor, building high-performing teams, and maintaining a steadfast commitment to customers and patients.
Timeline
Julie joined Danaher in 2017 at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, where she held roles of increasing responsibility spanning commercial operations, R&D, and business leadership before becoming the President of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. In 2023, she became Vice President and Group Executive of the Danaher Diagnostics Platform, where she helped grow the business into a market leader with $11 billion in revenue. Before joining Danaher, she held leadership roles at Hospira Infusion Systems, Boston Scientific, and Boston Consulting Group.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Columbia University, a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
