Biography
Rainer joined Danaher in 2010, holding various leadership roles before becoming Executive Vice President of Danaher’s Life Sciences platform in 2017. Under his guidance, annual revenues in the Life Sciences and Biotechnology platforms grew over five-fold to exceed $14 billion.
A committed leader of the Danaher Business System, Rainer focuses on accelerating science and technology to improve human health.
Timeline
Before Danaher, Rainer was President and CEO of MAPEI Americas and held leadership positions with BASF Group across three continents. A United States Army veteran, Rainer earned his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst and his M.S. from Boston University. He and his wife Alaine reside in Alexandria, VA, with their three adult children.
